DRIVE ISOLATION TRANSFORMERS
Withstands Machine Stresses
Drive isolation transformers are designed to provide a stable power supply for SCR motor drives, which allow for convenient variable speed motor control and efficiencies in power consumption, resulting in long-term operating cost savings for variable frequency drives.
VFDs have variable demands on power, this creates harmonic voltage distortion and harmonic current – both of these can cause significant damage to the transformer and the equipment being supplied the power.
Drive isolation transformers are specifically designed for use with variable frequency drives. As the name implies, the primary and secondary windings provide a buffer between supply and the load. Cores are designed to the most efficient as possible so they can withstand the harmonic voltage and harmonic current without electrical saturation.
Variable frequency drive isolation transformers are robust, designed to keep your equipment safe and operating effectively.
